Deception Park Beach

Honoring a Red Indian woman. Whidbey Island was once
inhabited by Native Red Indian tribes, till it was discovered
by Captain George Vancouver in 1790. The first non-native,
a missionary, arrived on 26 May 1840 and that was the end of
the natives!
